Sudha Shelter Home is a registered non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing, treating, rehabilitating, and providing permanent shelter to abandoned, injured, and vulnerable animals across Bangalore and surrounding areas.
Founded in 2011 and formally registered in 2016, we have grown from a single mission into a trusted community of compassionate individuals committed to animal welfare. Our work extends across multiple species—dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, snakes, turtles, guinea pigs, and many others in distress.

Dr. Sudha founded Sudha Shelter Home in 2011 with a simple belief: every animal deserves dignity, protection, and a second chance. What began as a personal mission has grown into a thriving sanctuary for hundreds of abandoned and injured animals.
Megha has been instrumental in scaling Sudha Shelter Home's operations and impact. Starting her rescue journey at age 14, she now manages day-to-day operations, medical coordination, volunteer programs, and community outreach initiatives.

A distressed mother cat was found struggling to deliver kittens in unsafe conditions. Our team responded immediately, providing emergency assistance and safe shelter. The mother successfully delivered with veterinary support, and both she and her newborns were stabilized and given the care they needed during their most vulnerable stage.
A stray dog was hit by a vehicle on the Hyderabad highway with severe fractures and multiple injuries. Immediate rescue and emergency surgery were performed. Through intensive orthopedic care, pain management, and patient rehabilitation over months, this dog regained mobility and strength.
A young street puppy suffered deep wounds and severe trauma from a violent dog attack. Emergency surgery and intensive wound care were provided. With continued medication, nutrition support, and compassionate handling, the puppy overcame physical injuries and emotional trauma.
Over 15 years, we've rescued injured pigeons with broken wings, rabbits needing emergency surgery, crows, owls, turtles, guinea pigs, snakes, and many other vulnerable animals. Each rescue is handled with specialized care, professional guidance, and deep compassion for every life.
